This is a recipe from my grandmother. I really liked it, all except for cutting apart the joints on the wings. If you can find them already cut apart, you'll save yourself a headache. This is really good though!
1.Cut 2lbs. chicken wings at each joint. Discard wing tips, or boil them in 1/2 cup water (or enough to cover them). It wasn't clear at this point if you used the win tips later in the recipe. I just threw them out since there is hardly any meat on them anyway.
2. Roll the other pieces in a mixture of 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup corn starch.
3. Dip the floured wings in beaten egg and brown them in about 2 Tbs. oil.
4 Place them in a 9"x13" pan.
5. Combine 1 Tbs. soy sauce, 4 Tbs. ketchup, 1/4 cup chicken broth, 3/4 cup sugar, 1/2 cup vinegar or white wine vinegar.
6. Pour sauce over the chicken. Bake one hour at 350 degrees. Turn 3 or four times during the cooking process.
